Kurt's line was very very strange: it had no context. I read it later as a hint to viewers that Kurt's words had an effect on Remy, explaining why he so maturely bowed out when Rogue broke up with him, but it could be an allusion to something else too. Either way, it came out of nowhere.
I genuinely did not like the way they played out the Rogneto storyline--not just because I hate it with a passion for obvious reasons, but also the way it played out. It did make Rogue look wishy washy. I know they weren't "official" (whatever that meant in this context), but that doesn't mean justifying an emotional affair with someone else in secret: they were clearly in some kind of relationship. Anyone could see that. They should have had a scene between Rogue and Remy before episode 5 where Rogue admits to being interested in Mags, but needing time to sort things out, then have the break up scene in episode 5, only to reverse it at the dance. I've already made my grievances known about the absurdity of that dance, so I won't go over that again.
There wasn't much Romy in this series: the basketball intro scene, the balcony scene, Rogue winking at Gambit at the Genosha concert (I think, right? I didn't imagine that, LOL?). For DeMayo stating they were the OTP, he sure had a funny way of showing it. *rolls eyes*
