    Default Banshee

…another reboot, and another full set of x teams ignoring Banshee. With a background like his… years working alongside humans, as a Black Ops specialist, a NYC cop, musician, munitions and tech specialist, educator, mutant activist, mutant father, guardian of leprechauns, who was for years involved romantically with the author of the current X downfall… and no one can find a story line for this guy?

Totally agree with you about Sean. Great character with a ton of untapped potential. Especially now with his daughter being imprisoned at Graymalkin Prison going by the FCBD Uncanny X-Men story. He got more stories as a Apocalypse horseman and then a zombie than he has as himself. Hell, even Claremont and Byrne didn't know what to do with him so they wrote him out of the book. It's time for Sean to shine.

He should have been headmaster of the Academy X. At least give him some sort of role.

    Yes and no.
Yes, in that they definitely need to address him and Moira. One of the biggest failed relationships to dive into during the Krakoa era.
No, in that Sean should retire and let his daughter take more spotlight.

Sean can retire, but should still have a prominent place in the X-Men family. His powers may not be as sexy as other X-Men, but his experience and expertise should have value. Also, yes, let's see more of Theresa as well!

I know for plot’s sakes, it was never going to happen.
But as a longtime reader it would have made more sense for Charles getting Banshee to replace Jean on the Quiet Council, instead of Colossus.

Declan Shalvey had a pitch called X-men Green that focused on him. So i wonder if that can get dusted off and greenlit.

A couple people on these boards have mentioned the idea of a new Excalibur with Banshee being on it and I love that idea. Or you know, put him on the Avengers already.

Banshee would make a good, and valuable Avenger.

Banshee's single power allows him maneuverability (flight), defense (sonic shields), variable ranged offense (from making people queasy, scared, or unconscious to shattering mountains), surveillance (enhanced hearing and noise cancellation), and manipulation (putting people into hypnotic trances). He's easily the most well-rounded X-Man power-wise outside of Storm and Jean Grey. Coupled with his decades of experience in many fields, I think Banshee is one of the most versatile X-Men. He even has the family dynasty factor (like the Greys and Summers and Frosts) with Black Tom, Siryn, and a frickin' magic castle! They could easily be the nucleus of a new Excalibur.
And Banshee's just a cool guy!

There's no way that Sean should retire. He was great as Headmaster in Generation X and it's a shame that they can't find a consistent role for him in X-book.

I wouldn't mind seeing him brought back in an X-Corp title done proper.

Ugh. I already forgot about the Spirit of Vengeance nonsense. Why do writers always want to change Sean? For the record I want classic Banshee back and kicking ass like he can.
