• Meanwhile, the Stark plan to take on all of Tony's and Iron Man's enemies. They start with the Mandarin and his terrorist group the Ten Rings, then continue with weapon of mass destruction called Lady War Machine and their next stop is J.R.Ewing! War Machine attempts to stop them, but mysteriously vanishes (see SECRET WARS!) so it may be up to Pepper Potts to come to the RESCUE.

At least, that would've happened if they hadn't been surrounded and knocked out by cloaked soldiers in powered armor right afterwards. As the three get dragged deep into an abandoned underground prison cavern, Antaeus comes to greet them to the man behind it all. Carol and Jeanne-Marie are left confused, but Sable is barely surprised; before them is the man known as Foreigner, or in other words, her ex (awkward). He has been building his own personal army under Doom's metal nose for years, and now that he has the means and the will, he will stop at nothing to bring her whole world down...and by that, he means to literally bring this now-sealed cavern down with explosives rigged all throughout the place while he escapes and pays whoever can scrape up their remains (hired guns included. Sorry, Antaeus). Let's hope someone down there has played Metroid.

They may have lost one of their own. He did not make the world a better place today, he says, but now the antiquated powers that be realize their time is running out. They will become cautious, anxious, and weak. He instructs his braintrust of Karla Sofen, Dr. Malus and new "recruit" Leo Fitz to prepare the next phase, set for a new target: Nick Fury!

Day 9: Woke this morning coughing up blood...I don't have much time left, but it seems like Simby get stronger with each day. Could it be he's feeding off my cancer? Couple'a bums found us this afternoon, and before I could even blink Simby had already grabbed them and ripped them apart. Like twigs. Blood and entrails everywhere. While I tried not to cough up a lung, Simby ate the stringy bits...I don't think I'm in control anymore. Who's wearing who? I'm so weak...so tired. Only my hatred keeps me going. That, and the thought of getting away from my wife. She keeps nagging, and nagging...Christ, why won't she just stay dead?
Day 10: I must have blacked out, I have no recollection of yesterday...but <writing illegible>. We're camped out in a tree outside Parker's place. How did <writing illegible>, and I hope Simby can handle <writing illegible>...oh God, it feels like I'm suffocating. I try to free my head from the symbiote, but <writing illegible>. The FF track the First Four and their captive Nathaniel to the prehistoric monument of Stonehenge, believed by many to be a nexus to other realities. Sir Isaac Newton and the rest of the First Four plan to kill Nathaniel and then open a portal to allow a World Devourer to enter our universe and destroy Earth while they make their escape! Reed, Ben and Johnny attack the Four while Sue tries to free Nathaniel. Newton and his team get the best of the FF again and prepares to open the gateway as something begins to emerge through the barrier! Suddenly Reed reveals his secret weapon, Wyatt Wingfoot who uses his mystical abilities to counter the science of the First Four! Sue takes advantage of Wyatt's diversion and pushes the First Four through the gateway as Reed and Nathaniel close the portal and narrowly prevents something from coming through! The FF come away with a close victory but Nathan warns that they haven't seen the last of the First Four.

Epilogue #1. In a universe far away, the First Four regroup after their defeat and begin to plan their next move. Suddenly, another figure enters the chamber and tells them to be patient. There will be plenty of time to go after his former friend and make him pay for his betrayal. And he has something very special planned for his offspring. John Storm has had a long time to think about how he will punish his disobedient children Susan Richards and Johnny Storm!

Epilogue 2. The idyllic serenity of Stonehenge is shattered once again as the barrier between realities is breached and a lone figure emerges through. It took all of his considerable abilities and nearly his life but he has returned to the world of his birth! Doom 2099 has finally come home!
