Zod looks absolutely horrifying. Honestly impressive that he's still moving around regardless of how hardy Kryptonian physiology is.
He is officially now as ugly outside as he is on the inside.

"Has Sariel summoned you here, Azrael? Have you come to witness the miracle of your brethren arriving on Earth?"
"I WILL MIX THE ASHES OF YOUR BONES WITH SALT AND USE THEM TO ENSURE THE EARTH THE TEMPLARS TILLED NEVER BEARS FRUIT AGAIN!"
"*sigh* I hoped it was for the miracle."
Dan Watters' Azrael was incredible, a constant delight and perhaps too good for this world (but not the Forth). For the love of St. Dumas, DC, give us more!!!
Yeah, this is one of those issues that you can't really say much about. It is well executed and fits with the overall style of the series, but it is really like only 2 pages of plot progression.

Zod vs. Sinestro sounds fun! I don’t think the two of them have ever interacted.KNEEL BEFORE ZOD #8

Three simple words: Zod versus Sinestro! The sins of the fathers burn like a cosmic wildfire in both of their hearts! Only against each other does that rage find full expression—but will they destroy the universe before they can destroy each other?

I didn't expect them to go so far to restore Zod to his Superman: The Movie design.
Well that's one way to grieve Zod, hookers and blow.
Interesting that his reaction to Ursa death and Lor's betrayal is to try and annex the mere idea of their existence from his mind, will this mean he'll actually try to kill the boy when they meet again or just banish him permanently from his life, as bad as Zod is I'm still not sure he br willing to go that far.
I like how this comic consistently makes sure that Zod never chooses an option that can be considered "morally right". No pet the dog or heroic moments, he is the villain protagonist and it is not softening him up.
In any other book when the character liberates the prison ship they would have the prisoners choose to work with the MC out of gratitude for freeing them but here Zod simply takes their electro harness and becomes their new slavemaster. Zod is not shown to better than the wardens, he is a full on douchebag himself, a true supervillain through and through.
