The more I think about it since hearing it suggested in the last fifteen minutes, lol, the more I think Polaris actually does make sense. She just worked with Captain Marvel through a Brood war, which led to the Brood assault on Orchis which included dragging Knowhere from Jupiter's orbit to Earth's orbit and annihilating the Bloom station...

Plus, her ties to Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, obviously. And she's showing up in Scarlet Witch this summer, in fact...

Hmm...

I don't know that I would love it, but I definitely wouldn't hate it.
