One thing I noticed with Nightcrawler, Cable and Forge joining the cast. Were they brought in to form the other 90's X-Teams?

Nightcrawler - Excalibur
Cable - X-Force (with Sunspot)
Forge - Already leads X-Factor

It would be perfect.
X-Men team will stay the same.
Kurt, Cable and Forge will create new teams and add new characters.

Yea, was hoping a bit quicker given how far along they seemed but oh well.

I like the idea of the Legacy Virus but the writers need to be careful not to do what Bastion mentioned, overload the emotional bandwidth of the audience so we get desensitized to genocide with X-Men. It's something the comics also overuse and why perhaps people have a hard time letting go of Krakoa, doom n gloom needs to be balanced with lighter moments. If there is death, it needs an emotional connection that feels organic and built up. That's hard to do with only 10 eps...

Hopefully we'll get some answers on that next episode. Honestly I was never a big fan of AOA, I don't mind Apocalypse but I don't want to spend more time in dystopian futures when the X-Men have much better stories. If we do Apocalypse, I rather the horsemen interact with the cast in the present time.

I don't think either will stay with Magneto, not if they want to move with Onslaught. That said, I could see one of them taking a break from the X-Men ala Storm, like with Rogue's 90s roadtrip. (thus Bobby!)

I wonder if they might revive that WaTXM idea for season 2 where the present-day team is dealing with Apocalypse and end up needing to prevent the AoA timeline that Bishop/Cable are stuck in.

I like the idea in theory, just that I feel like it would be a lot to juggle all these teams existing alternatively within a single show.

Plus I think Kurt is with the main team for good.

At the rate they are burning through X-overs, I would LOVE to see Storm's X-Treme X-Men adapted somehow. Khan's Invasion. Stryker. That weird mutant trafficking ring and underground fight club. Infiltrating the Bush farm and getting UN mandate. Let's GO!!!

Hmm... but which Bobby? Gambit's brother also goes by "Bobby". Yeah, in 616 it's Henri, but in TAS it's Bobby.

I adore this fanart! It looks so official I gagged the first time I saw it thinking it was a leak for season two.

But now that the show is almost over I think we will get different splits in the roster.

Professor and Magneto turn into Onslaught
Forge goes back to leading X-Factor (after his ties to Bastion are revealed)
Cable forms X-Force to hunt down Apocalypse with Wolverine, Archangel, Psylocke, Deadpool and Domino
Apocalypse resurrects some mutants from Genosha to form his new Horsemen: Gambit, Banshee, Callisto and Marrow (or Dazzler)
