He is in the book but it doesnt feel like he's an active team member. Im interesting in seeing what his role ends up being. With that said, I cant see him as an Avenger under any circumstances

The same was once said about guys like Wolverine, Deadpool, Rogue and Cable (just to name a few). Never underestimate the stupidity of bad writing. Nothing surpasses a good shock value.

Wasn't she like briefly on the team before AvX or something? Either way this is a interesting choice...even though if they are saying the mightiest of mutants that is obviously Jean...but this could be cool. Thunder and lightning is going to be very powerful with these Avengers.

Yeah Craig of Nasa I believe, introduced in Al Ewing's X-Men Red and was then shown sleeping with Storm in Resurrection of Magneto also by Ewing.

Depends if McKay will mention Craig or not.

I was right so im neither excited nor dissapointed. I trust Mckay to do something cool but he's pretty tied with nearly all of his cast nearly having solos. Ill wait and see what he does with Storm as an Avenger.

Don't love the idea of she and Thor on the same team --- too much overlap. But I think she deserves a spot. Maybe they can lose Thor and bring in Hercules or Wonder Man to mix things up a bit.

I'm hoping this could be a good grounding moment for Storm.

Even Bevoort has said it, her presence tends to overwhelm everyone around her which is exactly what happens in X-Men Red where when Mags and Sunspot were taking off the table, it basically turned into the Storm book. Making her into a full on invincible hero soloing everyone including other omega level mutants.

So if Mc Kay writes her as he does everyone else, then Storm might actually struggle to get her wins or think more creatively with her powers than just "Blam Zap, Lightning Blast!" We have gotten some great moments here with the Avengers having to think outside the box in their solutions.
