I can't believe World's Finest didn’t get nominated for best continuing series. It's such a good book.

And it's one of the few things that interests me.

Same here. It's not something I have ever expected to see, so I'm curious to see how it will play out.

Brevoort is just as bad as DiDio was. This guy has been there since before the internet was invented. He's the definition of out of touch.

That said good writing doesn't always need to be validated by awards, too bad there's not much of that these days.

Last year Nightwing won against Daredevil. That's all I have to say about this award.

I've always wanted to have a critically acclaimed Nightwing run. I just expected it to actually mean something.

Awards do MATTER. Even nominations matter.

He must not go to stores or look at websites or SCHOOLS.

Books with awards find their way on shelves and in many cases find their way in stores sales and libraries.

Having those awards behind your name HELPS get you WORK and INVITES to programs.

Wonder Woman and Damian? There's a team-up I certainly never needed or wanted.

After Dark Crisis, I didn't think DC could come up with a crossover event that sounded less appealing. Yet here we are with Absolute Power.

Heroes temporarily losing their powers or having them stolen is to the superhero genre what the third act break-up/misunderstanding is to rom-coms.

I feel like I've seen this plot in a cartoon.

Waid’s Shazam was pretty enjoyable but one of the best books of the year?!?

It wasnt even the best Mark Waid comic of the year. World’s Finest was a much better book.

If they change it this year then DC would have had 5 different logos over the last 20 years lol.

I can't help but think that they keep doing it is because each new Warner/DC regime wants to signal they are starting anew with DC.

Actually I looked it up and the reason why they had to change the 2005 logo is funnier.

In 2011 they tried to sue DC (the shoe brand) for infringing their trademark because their logo also featured a "DC with a star" only to realize Warner never actually properly trademarked the logo leading to not only DC Comics losing the lawsuit, but DC Shoes presenting a countersuit.
