Storm-leader, goddess, will stab you in the heart if necessary
Monet-flying brick and psionic powers, ready for the spotlight
Bishop-professional, detective, powerhouse
Sage-tech support, Scully to Bishop's Mulder
Gateway/Manifold-long range teleporter, Dreamtime magic
Sunspot-brash powerhouse, well-connected, financier
Warpath-tracker, strong, fierce, probably needs a hug
Tempo-time dilation, had potential in X-Force, wasted in AoX, bring back my girl!
Synch- actually, bring back my boy too! Him and Monet can be the new power couple.
Forge-engineer, financier, Cheyenne magic
Dani-bring back her powers! Otherwise she'll just kick your butt the old fashioned way!

sub team of kids:

Prodigy(brains), Cipher(stealth), Triage(healer), Oya(heat elemental), Gentle(brawn), Surge(speedster), Flourish(plant/fungi elemental)

You can do anything with this team!

Truest post in the entire thread, you don't do an X-Men anything without Storm and Wolverine. To add to that, I'd add Xavier, Cyclops, and Jean. They probably wouldn't be on my preferred roster, but those 5 are the most important to the X-Men mythos.

Thanks. I stand by my assertion that Storm and Wolverine are the most important X-Men, followed by Xavier, Magneto, Cyclops, Jean Grey, and then the “ingenue” role... in that order.

They’re not who I’d use to fill out a franchise of team rosters, but it’s where I’d start.
