Storm's powers being tied to the Earth is a Claremont thing.

That makes no sense. Didn't she control the weather aboard a space station during Wood's run?

Complain about Guggenheim all you want but he did his research here.

Also, I highkey wanted a "Storm alone" issue. Sigh.
Actually it's completely the other way around. In her mini series she got put in a new environment and she stated she needs to be attuned to it in before she can manipulate the weather, the same would happen here. Guggs has actually had her manipulate wind and electricity while on a station space and just last issue she was using her powers on a new planet, so even he knows she's not powerless while not on Earth.

Just to correct some things as well, Claremont actually had her use her powers in space multiple times, as long as there's energy that she can manipulate she isn't powerless. Here he describes how she can see and shape the energy flowing in space much like how she does in an atmosphere. She has also summoned solar winds on 3 occasions, once with Claremont, another time she got the attention of Silver Surfer where she once again proves she's not powerless while away from Earth, and finally in her solo she wrapped solar winds around the planet for 4 hours.

In fact there is nothing that suggests she couldn't bond to and manipulate this planet's weather, unless there's something that's fighting her control.

She's been in other dimensions and other worlds where she's controlled the weather/environment. Every other mutant has their powers it makes no sense that she would be tied to Earth. She isn't Meegan.

She can control the environment of a location that's not necessarily tied to the ONE planet. She's just more attuned to ours.

Alan Davis wrote a story in Uncanny 329 where she controlled the environment in another dimension.

Actually Guggs himself wrote that, only Endsong seems to be misinformed.

Storm can control any weather. She just needs time to be in tune to it.

She has normal human weaknesses. If you prick her, she bleeds. But her power is her power, and it has been since she was created in the 70's. She manipulated the solar winds the first time she was in space. She used her powers just fine on the alien planet Phoenix teleported the team to to fight the Imperial Guard. She used her powers on the Blue Area of the moon. She's been to various alien planets and dimensions, and while she does have to get adjusted (sometimes), her power over the elements is her power, wherever those elements may be.

She has special affinity for Earth since it's her home planet and she's spent the most time in communion with it. But Claremont took her to space and other planets and dimensions many times, and never showed that to be a problem. In fact, she got more powerful in space in several occasions because she was tapping into larger systems than earth.

She's very flawed...as a person...How many groups of people has she abandoned? The Morlocks, her tribe in Kenya, the people of Wakanda...she gives them hope and then leaves to play general in a mutant war. That's her flaw. Her powers...not so much.

1)The Morlocks chose to stay in the sewers.

    2) She helped many tribes during her goddess times, but none of them were 'hers', and they all survived for hundreds of years without her, they can do so again.

    3) The king of Wakanda annulled their wedding and forbid she or any other mutants return when they tried to help.

I would suggest people to start reading about Storm and how her powers work. To suggest that her powers are only limited to Earth is sorely mistaken.

Yes and while reading, you will find out that this is not the first time she has trouble controlling weather on another planet out in space.
However, in these other stories she managed to control it after tuning in so to say.

But why would it not be possible to be on a planet on which she can not tune in on it? I do not think that's really strange.

He could've said it wasn't natural...and that would've been a lot more effective...he's not so good at the details and there is ZERO text other than the dialogue.

That's not her having issue with controlling the Weather on a different planet that's her powers adapting to the Planet.

Every planet, Dimension, environment Storm has been on her powers have successfully adapted and rooted in Her Favor. To say that she can't control weather on a different planet when we have proof she can makes no sense. That's why it's strange.

That's like saying Jean Grey can read the minds of humans and Animals, but not big animals.
