Who’s more popular Beast or Nightcrawler ?

It seems that with any medium wether Cartoons, Comics or Film it’s always beast who gets chosen to be on the team but I never that he was that great of a character. I mean the only thing he has going for him is the fact that he’s smart on a genius level, but I always found nightcrawler to have a better visual and better powers there both blue both similiar agility to jump around. Maybe if nightcrawler has Hanks level of intelligence he would needed more.

I think the answer is pretty obvious. I too believe Nightcrawler is more popular, and tends to be a character casual fans will list first when naming X-Men characters.

I'll have to agree with stormphoenix, as of right now Beast is very much on my shitlist.

Beast was in the 90s cartoon and four X-movies. To the general public, he's more popular.
If your real question is which one we individually prefer here on this board... I prefer Nightcrawler. Beast used to be fun but he now has lots to atone for.

I assume because he was on the blue/gold and specifically blue team at the time. However, they kept him locked up half of season one, I guess they knew what he'd be doing in comics 20 years later.

But movie beast has more appearances but nothing too impactful, he's just there, a nice guy that helps Xavier but they lack meaningful interactions

I'm sure all nice guys willingly embrace the possibility of genocide as a solution to problems. In all honesty I had no problems with Hank all the way through the 90's, Avengers run included. I even enjoyed him in the Blue/Gold era. But he's been on such a detestable slope in the last 15 years it's hard to overlook that. Kurt's the good guy's good guy.
