That's my guess too. I'm guessing All-New Wolverine and Old Man Logan are going to tie into these at some point. I'm not sure how Wolverine can come back and be ignored by the current Logan and Laura titles.

As far as what you are talking about with Rogue and Logan, are you talking about that goofy "Golgatha" and "What Laura Saw" stories? That's an era I try to forget.
I think the Madipoor story will deal with Madame Viper. Rogue had that team up Logan in Japan way back in UXM#173. Logan and Jubilee were buddy-buddy from after Rogue got sucked into the Seige Perilous in UXM#147 (a few issues after this.) until the end of the Muir Island Saga. New and improved Psylocke would join the 2 of them during this time and the 3 of them spent some time in the far east.
