When Mags goes toe to toe against a celestial or can save himself from Red Skull, maybe... But Rogue did.

Well, that's really one poster with a strong but weird opinion about what she should be able to do. Rogue sure is more popular than Kitty (especially this version of Kitty) but it has nothing to do with her power level.
I don't think many of her fans seriously believe she (or Wonder Man for that matter) are more powerful than Magneto at his best. He was designed to be super powerful and more than a match for an entire team of X-Men, which from a storytelling pov is more of a hindrance when he's the hero. She's one of my favorite X-Men but I positively hated her Mary-Sue days in Legacy.

Any character can beat any other character given circumstances or writer preference. It is a fact, that Rogue absorbed everyone and went toe to toe against a celestial. A fact she has unlimited potential on a DNA level. Does that mean she can always activate it? No. But she saved Mags from Red Skull when he could not save himself.

She was able to break his powers even in 90s. She failed because she wanted to steal his powers but she could punch him and kill him.

Right now she is stronger and more skilled and when she is angry she can even kill.

she also did this in marvel fanfare 33. he used his powers and catch Rogue . Rogue was able to break free.

And Magneto did keep a Celestial from being destroyed as in, Magnetically kept the body of a Celestial in place, in one piece, during the Gillen run. Sinister wanted to destroy the Celestial to cause other Celestials to invade earth iirc. Magneto saved the Celestial, saving it from destruction, while the other xmen fought Sinister.

Also, I was worried that Rogue would just disappear into the background and be told what to do by Bobby but tbh, it feels like she’s co-leading with him when it comes to making decisions. At the end of the day, it’s Bobby’s team because Kitty promised him but it looks like he’ll turn to Rogue at times too.

I’m hoping that this can be the new team after the Fresh Start and maybe Kelly will take over after the Wedding Special? Swap out Ink for anyone else though.

I like your thinking...remember those scenes with Rogue, Magik, Dani, Old Man Logan, Kitty, and Colussus playing cards with each other about 8 issues or so back? I remember seeing these images and hoping that (especially) Rogie and Magic would be folded into the main roster. Happy to see them on a squad with Iceman and Magma. I am indifferent on Ink and Armor as I never followed them, but cooler characters would have been preferred by me than those two.

I would like to see how this plays out. Is Guggenheim for sure out after issue 30?
