It really deserves points for not being afraid to address issues involving prejudice and racism from another angle and is the title that have the most expectations at the moment at least giving the impression that it wants to change the status quo while the other titles simply follow the flow. But there's still a lot to prove after all not everyone seems to understand the analogy with the new Sentinels and not everyone likes Gabby to be getting so much attention. Art is also something that needs improvement.
while it's certainly very topical, it should also be noted that this is the sort of mainstream attention that helps comics to obtain eisners and other literary awards.
well done taylor & team, and good luck on this. personally, i would love to see a current-day x-men book find that sort of achievement.
LOL. X-Men: Red is a trash series that writes great characters as jackasses and smothers he audience with the unbearable Honey Badger.
Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
Uh... no. I mean Gold is significantly better than Red, but it’s by no means great. Being better than X-Men: Red is a very low bar. I wouldn’t say there has been a legitimately good X-Men book since Claremont’s Nightcrawler and KY X-Force if we’re talking team books.
