The base cards are divided in half, 1-75 = 'heroes', and 76-150 = 'villains'. Of note, Nightcrawler & Gambit apparently weren't deemed worthy enough, to be counted among them. But never fear, Ch'od & Leech were, lol. Whatta head-scratcher.

Wait, what the @&## did you just say? One of the biggest unit movers of the 90s didn't get a single card? Nightcrawler either? I wasn't investing money in this before, definitely not bothering now.

A foregone conclusion, IMO. It's only the art & format that appeals to me, anyway. Not much of a completist anymore, really. MUCH more discerning, these days.

Banshee got a base card, plus a D&G one, tho. So did T-bird, and PhoeniX/Jean.

Yeah, the selections in MANY ways, are pretty out there & all over the place. Random bein' #1, seems meta now, lol... to say the least.

No complaints from me. I think it makes the set more exciting.

These cards pretty much are a mess.

However it's still good to promote X-Men and some of the art is quite great
