No, I meant what I said. Claremont wanted Boom Boom in UXM, but was blocked from getting her.. Jubilee was created to be a replacement in the stories he had planned for Boom Boom. Being a mallrat, orphan, eccentric fashion sense, loud personality, impulsive....that was all Boom Boom and thats before one brings in the power comparison. Had Claremont gotten his way, Jubilee would have never been created. She only came about bc Simonson suggested he make "his own Boom Boom" which he proceeded to do

I'm talking about role on the X-Men team. Her power set didn't matter. She could've had the mutant ability to take out the trash three times a week. What she had to be was a cute teen girl to be Wolverine's sidekick, and that's what she was, replacing Kitty in that role.

Yes, the ending of Extermination would lead to the revival of the New X-Men: Academy X tittle..... with O5 as the protagonist!!!!! "insert the most evil laugth that can think off".

now that I think about this would make sense seeing as how JD has stated he much would rather want a cohesive line, and better attention to continuity with the xbooks

Sad thing is, he really didn't. Dude was a fan, especially of Havok (who kinda became his self-insert in the series, including hooking up with the nurse character based on Austen's wife). A lot of his ideas looked good on paper. Just... man, the execution.
