I'm also re-reading my X-Men comics and got to this one a few days ago. I was disgusted and confused by this as well. I don't know why I didn't remember it since I've read Legion Quest/AoA about a dozen times. The real Xavier heard her mind shout for help and he arrived on the scene with Legion looking like Legion and his mom fully clothed. I just tell myself that Legion stopped himself or Xavier got there before anything more than a kiss happened. Still awful though.

When Xavier and Magneto got there, Gabby was crying with her blouse torn. Did Legion actually rape his own mother? Is he his own father? The world may never know.

I always thought it to imply that Legion somehow sired himself while being in the past posing as Charles Xavier. It would be cool if CBR asked Lobdell/Waid about it for one of their "Legends".

I always read it as Legion being insane at the time. Not sure if rape actually ocurred, but what was seen on panel was creepy enough. I think it all was written out the timestream when Legion ceased to exist after he killed his father. Now i got to unwash that whole scene off my brain.

bc Maddie hasnt had anything to do with them since and her appearances that been rather limited. Im not sure in what context we would be seeing it brought up. It hasnt been relevant since that original story about 10 years ago
