Eh, would've preferred a reworked Achebe but I trust Coogler with whatever direction he wants to go in. It'll be interesting to see what the fallout of this will be and if some of our hopes for T'Challa being the superpowered political point-man become a reality.
Nothing is confirmed, the source is We Got This Covered. Not too long ago people were claiming their inside sources confirmed Kraven for the sequel.
If the rumors are true about Namor then I'm apprehensive. I wouldn't want a repeat of AvX and see Wakanda flooded.

I'm just laughing at the thought of Henry Golding as Namor
Yeah, I think whoever Coogler uses (be it Achebe or Mephisto or Doom or Namor or whatever) will be just fine.
To me at least I think it almost doesn't matter who he uses, since he already used all the REALLY important BP rogues (Klaw, Killmonger, M'Baku) in the first movie.
I've had a gut feeling for a while we'd get a BP sequel that featured Namor but I hoped, am hoping, I am wrong. Namor as a BP villain means BP getting clowned and Wakanda getting flooded. It would also mean a resurrected Killmonger (Namor finding his body and using Atlantean tech to resurrect him), which I'm...ambivalent about.
I hope I'm wrong, but...smh
I'm still torn or the idea of introducing Namor as the villain. BP's rogues should be propped up. If they go that direction anyway I wonder if T'Challa's opening of Wakanda and exposing the myth of "El Dorado" somehow puts Atlantis in the crosshairs.
If Namor is the villain for Black Panther 2, I hope they introduce namor and Atlantis in The Eternals first. That way they don't have to do too much world building of Atlantis in BP 2.
I mean, I am an incredibly selfish T'challa fan.
I'd drown 10,000 red shirt wakandans if it means T'challa gets to decapitate Namor all by himself lol
I still fine it unlikely. To go from such a political movie to Namor seems a bit extreme for Coogler, unless he just wants to flex some sci-fi action chops.
I don't see Coogler pulling a Doom War shit because... he's black lol
