Surge is what Cyclops would have been if he didn't cope with his uncontrollable powers by becoming a control freak. She's always angry, emotional, mean, dramatic, confrontational. She has a yolo style of leadership.

I did not include this book on my pull list but I'm beginning to question my decision. The preview looked entertaining. I do think Brisson is a good writer. I enjoyed his work on Extermination.
Oh yeah, this won me over too, effortlessly. While initially interested, can't say I was really all that compelled, but I'm into it now. And never thought I'd say this, BUT... as I slowly succumb to their heretofore hidden charms, I feel my defenses weakening, and Glob & Nature Girl gradually growing on me:
... together with what I assume will be:
... they could be the breakouts of AoXM.

My only real issue with Glob (aside from what I assume is a constant peristalsis horror show in his presence) is the fact that he can convey no other expression than extreme shock, even when the situation is normal. Naturally this is a minor and superficial issue, and he’s slowly growing on me.
But he HAS to make “It’s Globberin’ time!” his new catchphrase.
Was Madison Jeffries in the big fight in UXM #10? I didn't read it, but I did see the preview of the big splash of X-Men and he wasn't there.
Go @ 2:39 of the video, and you'd see why I posted this here. ; )

So when are the twins gonna stumble upon a picture of Remy and Rogue in the school and say that’s their Maman and Papa?
Eagerly anticipate a To drawn Dean Angel & SunFire Safety Instructor in this series, as well.
I actually agree 100% on this - Nori is a proven leader and Hisako is just getting started.
But when Nori was placed in charge, she faced issues to.
we've even had some of that push-back from Idie during Latour's run on Wolverine and the X-men, With her accusation that Armor is little more then Wolverine's "pet" - only for Armor to later prove during that Arc that she's actually pretty good at this whole leadership thing when a threat emerges.
She even gets hurt, and depowered during the arc, and then complete ignores both these facts to keep focusing on dealing with the problem - a trait you definitely want in a leader.
Thing is, The general view expressed before by several different characters was that Armor is viewed as kind of a suck-up.
It's also established that the fact she's a provisional X-men who often goes on missions with the adults is a point of pride for her, and Hisako bragging about it is somewhat of an annoyance to her friends.
Her actions during Disassembled, defy both of these issues - She defies the adults, refuses to go on a mission in order to stand up for her friends, and outright breaks the rules in favor of doing what she feels is right.
We'll see if this plays into her future development.
I'm in the boat with the people that weren't going to get but may now. I'm normally not into the younger generation of X-Men and the school concept since New X-Men, but the preview is pretty good. Thinking I may at least try issue 1.
