Welcome kalai! Very happy to have you express interest in joining us. Both of your pitches sound awesome, inventive, and just the kind of creative stuff we're looking for in Age of Marvels!

I see you've already been looking at the rules on the first page of this thread, but that should tell you everything you need to now.

You can start out with two titles if you which, both of which can have 13 characters. As you already saw, you can't claim any character that's already drafted to another title. However, there's literally a marvel universe full of unclaimed characters just waiting to be plotted! If you want, send your title, creative team, and character selections to me via PM (or post them here) and if none of them are claimed, you'll be approved and your books will be added to the catalogue! Then you just have to follow through with one solicitation for each book every month. Sound good?

I know there's debate about COVID in the US, and my last couple of stories have been somewhat light-hearted as an attemt to provide contrast to the seriousness of the virus. But Having been alone for two months, I sense the stories may have dried up. Is it time to call this a series at seven?

Fear not! Two stories were added to the Quarantine Special (one was mine! Sorry for being late, I fully intended to have an entry ready for the special but then got hit with an unexpected emergency at work).

The Quarantine Special is billed as "the book we all want to end," but I agree the book is a a bit of light-heartedness during a time when the virus is still presenting a big problem for most areas (one day I'll be able to eat inside a restaurant again instead of on the street where bugs attack me... wait, did I just have an idea for next month's book?). I think if you'd like to continue to contribute stories, the special can still go on.

You should. I just didn't want to be the only contributor. And the virus has gotten some big mention in the US in the last 24 hours, but we should try to keep this (and Next Dawn) politically devoid except for subtle allusions in the solicitations. I will have another story next month, but may take December off as One More day (the awesome FF based one month only event) will be taking a lot of my solicit time.

So, I can give you a credit (drop the book to -✪✪✪✪ for the month) since I know you're good for it, or you could draft the character to one of your other books and just use her whenever you wanted in AoF.
