I mean, game fans don't care. They only know the character as Psylocke. Kwannon holding the name and the body just means Psylocke exists.

They never go into the absolutely messed up history she has. They just know her as the Ninja with the psychic blades.

Really enjoyed this issue!

However, I will say I am a bit surprised about the criticism of "not knowing enough". Being thrown into the thick of things is a style of writing that keeps the plot moving without bogging the reader with wordbuilding. As time goes on, the author sprinkles more info to flesh things out. It is only the first issue and I wouldn't be too worried about not knowing anything. I'm pretty sure if Tini instead decided to do info dumps about Otherworld, Amulet etc; people would also find a problem with that and complain about the lack of pacing.

I’m actually not sure what information is supposed to be missing from the issue. Captain Britain gives Betsy an amulet that is described as the source of his power, and then she’s Captain Britain, so that’s explained in story. Earlier, he’s summoned to defend Otherworld as its champion, and that turns out to be as place where Camelot and Arthurian legend are real, and a source of magic. The relationships between the Braddock siblings are a little too expositiony if anything.

I don’t mind the swimsuit, but like...gurl. Change that suit now and then!

It’s less the suit and more that she wore it all the time, like a kinky security blanket that makes me give it a boot.
