It’s my favorite Avengers storyline as well. That and Operation Galactic Storm. I’m psyched to see him back.

Me too. Looking forward to the 2020 version of Korvac (can't wait to see what he'll look like THIS time):

    First Stage

    Second Stage

    Third Stage

O:GS is in my top 5, along with the Gatherers Saga, Avengers Forever, and Under Siege.

I know. I was hoping it would be Janet and they would get back together.

The Final Threat is so good. I love almost everything Starlin has put out. His short run on DC Comics Presents, where he helped introduce Mongul, is my favorite pre-Crisis Superman run.

I’m going to have to checkout The Final Threat. I’ve never had a chance to read it.

Marvel has really been pushing the Winter Guard, I hope Cantwell revamps a lot of the Cold War era villains. I need to see Vanguard, Red Guardian, Crimson Commando, and the Titanium Man get revamped for this new era. I hope Cantwell can play up those espionage themes we’ve been missing from the Iron Man books for quite some time.

Hopefully he will. He’s already bringing back Unicorn and Korvac. I am really psyched for what he has planned as of now.

Agreed. Even though Starlin wasn't involved, my favorite pre-Crisis story with Mongul would be...

"For the Man Who Has Everything..."

Great list, and I totally agree with you about Shooter's Count Nefaria Saga. Even with the power of Thor, the Avengers needed teamwork to win the day...

I don't have much in terms of hopes for Cantwell's run after reading his Doom. I just wonder if Korvac being here has anything to do with the teased story from Marvel Comics #1000.

His Doom is that bad? I heard good things about it.
