Happy New Year 2020 likewise to Shuri fans on this thread.

For your appreciation consideration, here's something of an acquired taste for the MCU versions: Japanese-dubbed Shuri-hime.

Genkai nante nai (No limits), Zettai nante nai (No absolutes)

Thank GOD for X'97. Cautious about "From the Ashes". Please no more Blue vs. Orange.

One of my favourite scenes from this fantastic movie.

What would be considered the best Shuri comics to read?

    Deadliest of the Species.

Do not touch Klaws of the Panther.

Hickman wrote her very well in New Avengers

Feels like eons ago, but Queen Shuri was last seen in January 2015, 5 years ago. Avengers #40 by Hickman. Time flies.

What arr your thoughts on the Power storyline, before Doomwar? Was it a good showing of Shuri?

I seen the single graphic novel at a local comic store. I might purchase it.

Shuri had a good showing, but Mayberry changing Wakanda was evident and that part I didnt like. I saw it happening when he started that liberal and conservative talk show. Also he gave Namor a pass for the the part he played in attacking Tchalla.

I was on the fence about the story because it was written by Mayberry. I have skimmed the story, and was not of a fan of her having to be saved by the Fantastic Four from Namor. The battle suit did look cool though. Still on the fence about it.

New Avengers / Time Runs Out by Hickman. (the best imho).

    Daredevil #7 by Waid.

Black Panther: Most Dangerous Man Alive by Liss.

Deadliest of the Species by Hudlin.

Ironheart #9 - #12 by Eve Ewing. A pleasant surprise imho.

Fantastic Four 607 and 608 by Hickman. Small showing but pretty good.

Power + Doomwar by Mayberry (Power was better than Doomwar imho).

Controversial opinion in these parts but I think Shuri’s portrayal in the entire Coates run has been solid. Not great, but solid.

Shuri in Rise of the Panther was okay, I felt.

The Shuri book might have the weakest portrayal, unfortunately. Just my opinion though.

Happy birthday to Shuri! Created back in March 15 by Reggie Hudlin. Accomplished a lot during that time. Very curious on what the future holds for her.
