We present to you Age of Marvels: New Universe, a collection of all new fan-made issues on “sale” this month for AUGUST 2020!

What is “Age of Marvels” and how does it work?

Age of Marvels is a fan fiction universe and solicitation game that has been in existence on the CBR boards for approximately eleven years! It has gone through several iterations and has survived forum reboots! The way it works is that “plotters” write short solicitations for monthly comic books! Then participants “buy” the books they want to read! The books with the most buys get rewards. Sounds fun, right? So let’s do this! Which of this month's solicits interest and excite you? Let us know by posting which books you'd pick up in the virtual Age of Marvels Store (this solicitation thread). You can pull as many as you'd like, but also consider your "virtual budget" when making your selections, as sales are used to reward our titles and plotters. Registers are open all month and sales are tallied at the end of the month.

Absolutely anyone can make purchases right here in this thread - so please do!. It’s free and is basically just saying “I’d read this” or “I like this!” So let us know! There has never been a more excelsior time to join the fun!

The skies above Virginia are afire with battle as advanced military jets clash with what look to be flying Viking longboats. On the ground, modern warfare meets mystical fantasy as both vigilantes, secret agents, and soldiers wage war against elves, trolls, and frost giants.
It’s the United States of America versus Asgard... it’s Captain America versus Thor! An uru hammer will meet a vibranium shield. But whose side are all the other heroes on? Friendships and families will be torn asunder and at least one hero will die!
Is even the Pentagon capable of repelling the wrath of righteous gods? Will “Thunderbolt” Ross waiver in his conviction to stand with his Vanir allies when faced with overwhelming divine might? Will reinforcements from the other Realms arrive in time?
Thor could end the civil war here and now... and as the fight gets personal, he promises to make Steve Rogers his shield maiden! But can even he force Captain America to surrender? After all, Cap promises he can do this all day... and that “A” on his head doesn’t stand for France! In their heroic struggle, find out who is truly more worthy of wielding Mjolnir!

•The MAN-THING is looking far less than giant-size after his encounter with Miskatonic's FIGHTING CEPHALOPODS. To be fair, the group is barely holding on after defeating the D.O.A. but DOCTOR STRANGE opens a portal back to the Man-Thing's Florida swamp so the muck monster can rest and regenerate. Where he, Man-Thing, DOCTOR VOODOO, and ELSA BLOODSTONE end up is a misty forest on the banks of a chilly island in the middle of an arctic sea.
•Doctor Voodoo has more to worry about than Elsa being far too chipper for a Brit who hasn't had a cup of tea in over a day. The Norse algiz and elhaz runes carved into the trees, heather bushes, and standing stones have the signature of white supremacist wizard OGMUND TUSSOCK, and the Man-Thing refuses to bond with the island to heal.
•When something massive yet still wreathed in mist rises out of the water and heads for land, it's time to leave but neither Strange nor Voodoo can teleport away. As if on cue, the island itself starts to shake. Perhaps it wants to leave, too.
