This sort of became a modern classic from Thor#3, where Tony is faced with a stone faced and unamused Thor, back from the dead, post Civil War. Thor is not impressed with what his teammate and "brother" had been up to. It showcases how Thor's nobility and kindhearted nature can mask how terrifyingly powerful he truly is, and how easily characters like Tony can forget that.

In spite of what many Iron Man fans may have thought, this was not Tony being "jobbed', Tony was not made to look bad or weak, it was only meant as a reminder of what Thor really is, and many at that time felt Tony had become a little too comfortable being in a such a massive position of power. Thor shows Tony that any power or authority SHEILD, The Avengers, or anyone else have over him is completely at his own discretion.
