Completely credible and utterly disgusting on the parts of Levitz and Carlin.
Certainly shows how deep the good ol’ boys club went.

Its weird knowing that the comics we all read about as kids, featuring (mainly) morally upstanding superheroes fighting for justice and keeping people safe, were oversaw by such d-bags. I know its a business, and business is full of that. But at least be fair d-bags.
"They can be a great people Kal-El, they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you. My only son." - Jor-El
Second time Carlin has popped up in an allegation, the first time being: Former DC Editor Valerie D'Orazio Details Her History of Sexual Harassment and the Toxic Workplace
It's a shame none of this came to light while these guys were actually in charge instead of now when DC is being run by a black woman, an asian man, a white woman, and a black man.
That has to be heart-breaking to get a dream job and be held back like that. And sadly it isn't just limited to comics.
This is why people push so hard for diversity.
Wasn't Levitz involved in protecting Berganza as well?
Now I hate that Carlin is still working at DC and on the animated films.
It's the same situation across so many industries. It's doesn't surprise me, but it's sad that this sort of thing keeps happening. More diversity and empathy is needed.
Damn shame to be utterly degraded like that. It's not surprising though, black folks have had to jump through obstacles doing anything in this country.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above

Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
Berganza was a hot potato that everyone seemed to be passed back and forth. Levitz, Carlin, Didio, Johns and Nelson all kept him around knowing full-well how toxic he'd made the Superman books for women. Or were at least willfully ignorant about it. Lots of blame to go around.
Well, that's pretty shit.
For a number of reasons.
One, that shit like this STILL goes on in 2020.
Two, that Paul Levitz is mentioned. I always thought he was a decent bloke. Reading this has just made me sad.
"My name is Wally West. I'm the fastest man alive!"
I'll try being nicer if you try being smarter.
