I hope Ridley fleshes out T'Challa's romance interests and adds new partners. I find it strange that Peter Parker, a nerdy broke dude from Queens has had MORE women(not tryna be misogynistic) than the richest man on the planet. Anyways, Coates set the standards so low that it will be hard for Ridley to do worse than him.

Yea I see what you’re saying, Avengers books have always been light on characterization for the characters that got solos. Which is why I’m perfectly content with what Aaron’s put out, I’m just pointing out that his writing of the character is part of the wider situation of T’Challa not having truly great content in circulation atm. That’s not to say that he’s supposed to do more anything more than he’s already done ya know? Coates as always deserves the majority of the blame for the current state of the comic IP that because like you said the solo does most of the heavy lifting.

I feel like the last few Avengers run have made people come to expect the bare minimum from Avengers runs compared to the days of Busiek and Stern.

Just reveal that they survived the death of the multiverse and are on Earth doing their thing. Have one of them go rogue and tada cool new love interest. I had hope she would be a reoccurring enemy along with black dwarf for T'Challa since he was the one that initially ruined both of their plans/standing. Especially Black Dwarf since he was embarrassed by him but we didn't get to see it. And Swan could be merely infatuated and interested and making life miserable for him. They could both work together as a Duo

But we couldn't have any of that Adventure because we had to focus on rape, misogyny, and slavery for the last five years

Hudlin marrying him to Storm kinda crippled him romantically unfortunately. Definitely would love to see Zanda brought back into the mix at least. Hell since this is going espionage, let’s see him get with some “Bond girls” lol.
