Offhand, ANT-MAN 3, THE MARVELS and DOCTOR STRANGE 2. I'm sure WAKANDA FOREVER will be good, but "excited" isn't the right word.
Makes a fair point. How many people will be excited to see T'Challa's end. Last time the excitement from seeing T'Challa in his own journey.

I like him. He seems like he has that presence he can bring to the character of T'Challa

Something about these actors that have been schooled/been in the theater (same as Boseman) that just have an extra level of depth/nuance. He is good though and I wouldnt hate it.

Also...thoughts on the vids I just posted of the guy I suggested.
Some of the greatest actors/actresses never went to acting school. Charlize Theron never did and she has been nominated for best actress for 3 movies. Same with Joaquin Phoenix

I think it just comes down to experience at the end of the day and if you got it. You tend to be good at your craft when you do it on a daily basis.

Has Ridley only done one interview?

I’m expecting/hoping for more once we get closer to release. For now he can only talk in generalities anyway since he won’t want to spoil anything, but I’m hoping for an interview after issue 1 comes out where he talks specifically about what he’s setting up with issue 1, where he wants to go, what he wants to do with the character, etc.

Lol Man like Sopé. He goes to my church and I already told him he should be BP but dude just laughed. Anyway, the bro is a killer actor, he's a Yoruba man and he killed it with the action in Gangs Of London. Can you imagine if they got Gareth Evans to choreograph the action and stunts?? The BP movie would crap on every Hollywood action movie ever made.

There's gotta be a reason people like Bareth and others aren't contracted for these type of movies.

If I had to guess, it is simply too hard for most actors to do it physically. Or maybe it takes too long to get proper shots those guys want. And it is just more cost effective to make it "slightly above average" and move on.

He shouldn't do too many interviews. Everyone will be picking it apart like they did Coates, lol.

I think part of it shooting effects as well. I remember reading an interview where Coogler's DP said they couldnt shoot things like they normally wanted to because you have to account for how the effects are going to be layered. Gotta give them options in case they need to change something.

Also I may or may have not shared this here before...

But the one crumb I got from somebody who worked on the film in 2017 was that fight scenes were much longer. So that was an issue in the editing room.
Posted before, but this Dora fight seems like a much better idea than what we got in the film.

How Ryan planned/prepped for it was becoming an issue. The Casino fight scene was great, but by trying to make it a oner (or look like one)they spent a lot of time doing that.

If they ever do Daredevil I just hope its grounded and let someone like Gareth do it. The stunt work looks great in Shang Chi, but its got way more effects than I would have guessed.

Winter Soldier is kind of a miracle when you think about it.

Gareth Evans on his worst day and working under MCU conditions could still deliver the best action Marvel/Disney could only dream of. He's definitely the only white man I'd trust to direct a BP film and know it will be brilliant. I'd probably take him over Coogler if I'm being honest. The Raid 2 alone is better than 90% of the MCU films...but that's just me.

I dunno, the thing I liked a lot about BP was that the story was really solid and the characters were good too, I would take that over big action movies. That being said, having him and Coogler working together to bring out the best of both worlds could work

    Big RAID fan

I think they are just totally different types of moives.

I mean, the plot of both Raid movies are kinda basic to dumb lol.

Btu yeah, if you wanted a pure MA movie, Evans obviously has the track record.

I do wonder if the reason Shang Chi is more... cgi? effect heavy? than id guess is because Marvel knows it cannot compete in a straight MA movie in the chinese market so it has to separate itself from it a bit.

    But back to black panther...

It hought the choreography of all the fights was beyond solid... the editing is my biggest issue. [I am going to nitpick here. bc I love the movie] Nigeria was too dark, M'baku fight cut in weird places for no reason, and the final fight should have been focused on BP/KM, not inter splicing with what was going on in the field.
