Also I been watching Y: The Last Man. If they REALLY wanted to go the Shuri route. There's an actress who looks like a grown up Wright that can also pull of the physicality of the comicbook Shuri.




Now this is someone who could be badass Shuri. Her and Boseman kicking ass would have been dope. Heck just get rid of Wright, bring in Sope and lets roll, lol

In hindsight (and based on T'Challa being closer to Bosemans real age) they really shoudnt have made Shuri that young. I get you want a comic relief, but he's almost 20 years older than her in the first movie. Instead of What are Those Jokes they could have had T'Challa and Shuri actually having a scientific debate on switching to nanotech.

Nothing I didnt mind at the time, but knowing what they are doing with T'Challa it could have really fleshed out more.

Now to be honest the "perfect" person to play Shuri would have been Lashana Lynch (Maria Rambeau in Captain Marvel)

She is going to be another great black actor that was wasted in the MCU. Especially after people see the new Bond film.



Again I get why they did it, but in terms of ON FILM. It would have worked better if she was older. Too much kiddy banter instead of real sibling growth.

I know Feige put Coogler in the box wanting them to be like Bond/Q. However, there really could have done it differently.

They wanted a teen girl to go after the teen market (mainly black girl market). Instead of deaging Misty like they FOREVER do Peter Parker-they used Shuri and she is the one with the book line.


And Lynch might not have been free at the time. She was doing a show and got casted for Y as well. Remember they were doing 3 movies at once Black Panther and the last two Avenger films. Notice Bassett did a cameo as she was doing about 4-6 shows at the time.

I like the art so far, wished the habit had more accents or a more unique design but I like the gold eyes. Don't like the way the cape looked but looks like it'll only be around when he's not fighting. Wondering if the woman that popped up is either a villain or new LI.
