Is that actually T'challa?
I’ll wait for the actual issue but man it’s so weird for T’Challa to be so informal. “I live for this”? “Cap”?
T'Challa
A.K.A. The Black Panther
King of Wakanda
King of the Dead and The Champion of Bast
Two-Time Time Magazine "Person Of The Year"

This. The bar is in absolute hell lol. I can take some awkward dialogue.
T’Challa is shown leading from the front and for once he’s not self-loathing and full of regret. We see him relying on pure martial arts and not his tech while seeming confident and focused in his mission. Is the way that’s conveyed a bit too informal?
Sure, but all the elements I want out of an introductory BP story are there. I’d like at least one solo issue of him depicted as a hero before we see him go up against the big bad and sweat a bit. Plus it’s not like T’Challa doesn’t like being a hero, it’s been an established aspect of his personality for years that he does enjoy adventuring and exploring and would probably be happier if he didn’t have to worry about the throne. So it doesn’t bother me that he’s just enjoying the moment and fighting some monsters alongside his bros (and Doctor Strange lol).
I bet it's going to be announced that Letitia Wright will "quit" this movie due to her "injuries".
I mean, if T'Challa's depicted in-character and competent I can probably live with his voice being "off," but it's still weird. Like I'm reading him in my normal T'Challa voice and it just sounds off.
It’s TChalla, it looks interesting, I’m buying it. I can’t complain about three panels at this point.
