Indeed, concussions are not fun at all. Hoping she recovers fully as well.
EDIT: apparently she also fractured her shoulder.

We really gotta talk about Shuri in her actual thread lol. The Griot direction only could've worked long-term if Coogler decided to rope it into the MCU. He had no issue bringing in the Djalia or most of the aesthetics of Stelfreeze's art but it's impossible to know if Griot was something he wanted to do. I don't know the timeline on that, maybe he was aware she was undergoing some big shifts in Coates' ongoing but he didn't have enough time to see how it unfolded so he saved it for a sequel. I 100% could've seen MCU Shuri become Griot with the right arc. Doubt we see it now, which kills off any potential it had in the comics.
But yea, the natural evolution of her character post-Secret Wars was to be a sorceress and occupy the mystical aspect of the franchise. That's arguably the least interesting/most disposable part of T'Challa's character (most fans generally care more about him being a genius warrior-king). It opened up an entirely distinct portion of the mythos for her. It was consistent with her characterization as the more conservative sibling. They could've even given Shuri her own Wakandan city based on magic as opposed to tech and had her teaming up with groups like the Midnight Sons or Spirits of Vengeance. That seems like the direction Coates wanted to take her based on her appearances in Captain America. Wakanda's answer to Brother Voodoo. It was a rough and poorly developed concept but with good writing and time it could've definitely been finetuned into making Shuri the Nightwing-style figure Marvel clearly wants her to be in the comics.

Super late on this, but the Hollywood Reporter dispelled rumors that Letitia is leaving. She will be there in January.
https://view.email.hollywoodreporter...18dcbc1a5068e5And while we're here ... Letitia Wright and Black Panther 2 started trending Thursday with some rumors coming in from the lowlands.
We did some digging and sources close to the production say Panther 2 is indeed on track to resume production in late January in Atlanta. With Wright.
