Besides being very qualified to investigate the murder of Wanda Maximoff, Bishop teaming up with Sync more than likely could have defeated Magneto without the need for other mutants being involved.
CC also implied that Bishop extensively studied historical mutants, and had strategies designed to neutralize them. I forgot the issue, but a splash page showed Bishop defeating Magneto.
Bishop & Everett could literally be a two man power trip on that island working in unison.
The lack of creativity from the writers is shameful.
Do you guys think that if Bishop got a second mutation that added to his powers it would make him a little more interesting and thus more likely to be used?
Since right now Bishop is basically just got with guns
Bishop always knows his geographical location. The energy he absorbs also allows him to boost his strength, and resiliency.
Bishop is an expert hand to hand combatant, skilled pilot, and master detective.
He already has everything required to be a top tier character.

To boot nobody is willing to address the racial balance and character usage.
He already has a secondary mutation. The ability to turn into wallpaper in an X-book.
Seriously though, the writers aren't using his full abilities as it is, he intelligent, strategic, has detective skills and combat skills. So any other mutation they give him is just a waste because they aren't using him with the badass skills he already has.
Well he just appeared in Marvel Voice's Wave's story so there's that
