Katana in the original Outsiders series is what made me a fan:
Wish I could find more scans. Her tenderness with Halo contrasted with the ruthlessness of her enemies combined with her tragic backstory made me a fan. Katana had layers to her characters.

The Hawks happy ending is one of the best things I've read recently. Venditti made a amazing job in framing their relationship in a positive light, something DC often fails to do.

Damian killing to protect their family, sapologizing, and later declared he always want to be like Bruce and will atone for it
Damian setting up an international scavenger hunt for Bruce so he can reconnect with his childhood while Damian himself play Batman in Gotham
