What I love about that aspect of her life is that it shows her at her purest and most unfiltered. This is what Jean can do without the Phoenix Force and any other influences.

One thing Mike Carey knew how to do was write stories about c, d,and e list characters. I loved his arcs that focused on some of the less popular New X men students..

Carey's story while centering Rogue gave Trance an interesting feat and positioned her to be more than just a simple astral projector. Her bioelectrical powers are quite destructive and def gives her some offensive potential.

Emma's powers were completely broken there. She was borrowing power off the Cuckoo's who are weaker. (The Black haired one being the weakest who fell first) And when the Black haired Cuckoo fell they lost a third of their power

IIRC Irma was black haired, Phoebe Red haired and Celeste Blonde
