I tear up every time I read something related to this. But he's just so positive that it lets me look on the bright side, he's going to go out on the biggest wave of love that probably anyone in the industry ever has.

The latter is what made me a Perez fan for life. It hurt losing Dick Dillin (one of my favorites from my childhood) during that story (my favorite JL story, FWIW), but Perez was able to still carry the ball to the end zone with his own distinctive stamp. Originally Posted by Nomads1
