So just saw the film. It was okay. Saw it with friends and family, they thought it was fine.
Really getting annoyed with the Marvel formula of "Long set-up, really big non-action middle, and then front-loading all the action to the end". They really gotta find a better action mix there.
Also I feel like the comparison is warranted here because of similar elements but I feel like Aquaman did the whole fish-people army better. In that film it ended on this massive battle with this huge army with all kinds of vehicles and ships and ****.
Wakanda Forever spoilers:end of spoilers
it ends on the Wakandans on this one really big boat and 3 fighters that Namor immediately takes out. It was honestly just kinda comical seeing the entire Wakandan fighting force on this one singular boat with a very flat surface, I guess Wakanda never bothered to construct a navy.
I recall someone saying they don't do a good job of showcasing either armies technology and I can agree. spoilers:end of spoilers
Everyone just uses spears, nothing but spears for the general army. And the Talokan's have no other technology than this one grenade/depth charge they keep spamming
Also Talokan was barely lit. Like I legitimately could not tell what the Hell I was looking at.
Wakanda #2 was good but I really don’t care for the Empire’s politics since this will likely be the last time the Empire will be seen or mentioned for a while. Found the side story interesting with the tidbit about Mamadou Fall and the resurrection altar.
It isn't that.
Wakanda and Wakandans are nothing but redshirts. They always have been. People (mostly black people) just want to hang on to the concept of an african super power so badly they try and connect with it and pretend Wakanda is a character.
It isn't. They exist to give the real characters something to do.
Wakanda can't be super overpowered or it means BP sits in his throne room doing nothing but delegating. That is boring as hell and no one once to see that (lol coates).
Asgard is literally no different. Ancient, super technological and magical based home of the Gods and protector of the nine realms.
... they have a shield, a couple laser guns, and couple ships... and they fight hand to hand with shields/swords... and were about to get wiped out by some elves with laser guns.
Because it is the same thing... Thor is the main character and protector. Asgard has to suck so he has someone to hammer smash.
Wakanda is no different form Asgard, Gotham, NYC, Atlantis, or any other place super heroes hang out... they exist to be varying degree of **** holes so the main hero can solve the problem.

I'm just waiting to see what BP3 will be about. spoilers:end of spoilers.
There will some kind of time jump so I assume T-Jr will be in his mid-20s when the movie debuts perhaps?
I'm not going to bash a movie that I haven't watched so I hope those who did enjoyed it.
I don’t think anyone is denying it’s just will Marvel actually do it. A large timeskip will also impact the rest of the characters in the MCU but they could also do something similar to what happened to Cable and Jonathan Kent in the comics in KD or SW. The opportunity is there it’s just whether or not they’ll do it. They could make the shocking decision to simply stick with Letitia and Shuri for the next 10 or more years. Both scenarios are easily possible in the next 2 Avengers movies
I have a strong feeling they’ll do it. Especially since people expect them to do it since they named the kid after the very character the franchise was built around. In a way they brought T’Challa back so now there’s no going back. Hell it should say something that even Winston Duke is now saying T’Challa will eventually be back on screen.

I don't think Letitia has the star power to carry the franchise, Lupita and Danai are far better candidates in that regard.
But also Marvel has to do something because the Recast movement forced them to respond and even the anti Recast crowd were saying " they will Recast after this movie, let them has this" so now they can't just stick with moving forward without T'Challa anymore. Plus money talks
T'challa will be back, but that don't mean he will be the Black panther right away. Shuri is clearly set up as The Black Panther of the main mcu. Her being the Black Panther for many years would not be a shocking decision. It's only shocking for people who don't pay attention. If Letitia Wright wants the role she's not going anywhere any time soon.
