It's a good cover but it's kinda ironic, with all of Ridleys talk about how his run is exploring Black male friendship and all that, there ain't a single brother up there with T'Challa. They dead, MIA, or traitors apparently (Akili). Like WTF why the hell are Ayo and Aneka on the cover? They are the worst characters created in recent years

He was likely given vague ideas for the book and then just did the covers in advance.

The HZ were introduced as villains, Ridley’s just building on what Priest did. They only got retconned into being good guys when Hickman started writing them as Shuri’s Dora Milaje.

I mean at this point there should be two versions. The ones loyal to and being led by Hunter, and the ones loyal to T'Challa being led by Akili. Hell they can all get the Kasper updated look to differentiate themselves from Hunters HZ.

But they need to be different. Just like Okoye as a Dora is different from Aneka and Ayo the MA.

I don't understand the dynamics here at all. The Wakandan government wants T'Challa to do all the work, but have zero authority, complains he isn't doing enough, and apparently brands him a traitor for doing something they should be doing anyway?

It works if Ridley is writing it so that Parliament is setting up T’Challa to fail, giving him impossible tasks while handicapping him because they want him out of the picture.

Key word is IF. So far the plot itself is very much flawed. Ridley should of put up REAL and bigger stakes than "secret spy network" that has existed pretty much his entire publishing history.

The aftermath had NOTHING to do with Hudlin.... Maberry took over, X-writers/editors/fans kept throwing shade at BP refusing to support the marriage plotwise inclusively in the X-books until the marriage was horribly dissolved in AvX.

Frankly I am pissed of y TNC and Ridley and Marvel keep pushing BP on Storm when they do NOT mandate the same thing from the X-writers/editors.....heck, even Jonathan Hickman Storm/Tchalla story was blocked.

Do y'all recall that superb BP annual from Hudlin?!?

I really do NOT see how Hudlin gets any blame for any bad "aftermath" to BP.

-Tchalla explaining his action or past to his granddaughter
-Black mutants and Black atlanteans
-Mutant schools on Wakanda embassy land
-Wakabi marrying Namor daughter so Tchalla dont kill Namor
