Coogler also said he didn't understand what made the character so cool initially.
While I don't blame him at all for the botched introduction to the character since that was done in Civil War during about 10 minutes of screen time, there's no reason he couldn't have corrected that depiction or not caused even more damage by downplaying his intelligence and shifting his contributions to his country's advancement to his baby sister that's not even 16 years old. Putting that idea in the mainstream during an introduction will cause long-term harm even when someone comes along after him to try to correct it

I don't get that either. Doesn't he have a check book? Or a client card? There are so many ways this could have gone to avoid writing a note requesting for money at a bank but then again I don't know the procedures for American banks.

They pretty much only hinted at TChalla being a genius when TChalla was getting his new suit and referred to the old one as “his design.” I don’t even think the casual fan would catch that.
