I just realized T'challa recognized the fighting style of an Eternal (an eternal hiding his fighting style at that!) in those panels
But didn't recognize Wakandan fighting styles in his own book

Because he didn't have the literary crowd who doesn't give a frak about comics and care only about prose and inner monologues, ass patting and surface level plots that serve only to isht on characters with no satisfying answers or conclusions to the questions being brought up?
Seriously he has a successful BP centric season, successful one shot and WANTS to write T'Challa and respects the franchise
And that... Is why I don't have much hope for Ridley's book. The guy who's trained on every fighting style in the world and secret Wakandan ones can immediately identify one an eternal is using but needs Shuri AND a lab analysis to figure out that the assassin's are using Wakandan fighting Styles... After fighting like 4of them... Purely for plot dragging reasons
On 2nd thought Im glad we didnt get a variant T'Challa in Doctor Strange 2. Although what they would have done with him would have been...consistent.

Dude, we saw what he could do with a one shot. Single handily rid all of Africa of knulls influence, created a cosmic level mech that was designed to fight the Phoenix (4 of them as Bast has 4 claws) and was able to give Shuri and Okoye specific roles that didn't step into T'Challas lane and allowed T'Challa to be the utter badass he is supposed to be. And introduced a cool unique looking character part of a different tribe, this expanding World building naturally without derailing the story.
Dude would be doing Basts work. Maybe we need to do a petition to get him on the book
All the way with you brother!
Also I’ve been contemplating. Some of y’all said we might get a variant of T’Challa in the MCU but they probably won’t let him lead the franchise. At least… spoilers:end of spoilers
Not the 616 version of the MCU. After seeing MOM I was wondering if we could see a project set in 838 with a T’Challa variant there. Maybe a movie based heavily on ROTBP. Giving us a proper origin story, we could see a well written Storm romance, Griot Shur, T’Chaka getting killed by Klaw, Hunter, and of course a comic accurate T’Challa. Essentially 838 can be a reset for the character without completely shutting down the original continuity.
Anyone think it could work?

Couple of DS2 spoilers that could help Feige/Marvel on ensuring there's no T'Challa..ever.

There was no America Chavez in any other universe. There was no Vision in any other universe.
It could, but then your running into the issue of confusion for fans trying to figure out wtf is going on. They could just have T'Challa go through a wormhole, get lost, then on the end credits show him come back, not show his face and have Nakia Ramonda or who ever say they missed him, thought he was gone and would never see him again, and judging by his looks, it seems he went through some isht too in the time he was gone. Bam! T'Challa recast, explains in universe why he looks different (since for SOME reason only for T'Challa it seems, they have to be meta and recognize the difference) and then they can hype up BP 3 with return of the King

False. There was another vision in What If. So there’s no excuse to why there can’t be another T’Challa.
Not to mention Nate Moore specifically said the T’Challa from MCU 616 is toast. He could’ve simply said “you won’t see T’Challa period” but for some reason he was very specific with his words. Let’s not completely give in to fatalism just yet.
