To be fair the DCEU has very slim picking when it comes to Black superheroes. Most of them are raceswaps (Black Canary, Deadshot, Hawkman, Batgirl, Catwoman), which is sad! The originals that they do have they with can’t use for obvious reasons (Cyborg), chose not to (Darla) or are villains (Black Manta, Amanda Waller). Still waiting on John Stewart, Static, Vixen, Black Lightning, Bumblebee, Mr Terrific, Aqualad, Val-Zod, Icon, Rocket…etc seems DC would rather raceswap though.

You're correct (even though Deadshot ands Bloodsport aren't heroes either), ands that is a problem in itself. One that could have been easily avoided if they had used traditional Suicide Squad member Bronze Tiger in one of their 2 Suicide Squad motion pictures, for instance.

Even then, choosing 2 primarily white characters to celebrate Black History Month really rubs me the wrong way.

And in defense of DC, there was one character which they tried to make stick. But because of a """""certain publisher""""" idea of what role Wally should fulfill, coupled with a terrible, terrible execution of an origin, Wallace is now a different character.

Both have been lead characters of team books for years, Black Canary in Birds of Prey and occasionally Justice League, and she is also often a co lead in Green Arrow, and Deadshot in Suicide Squad and Secret Six. We among these are some relatively popular and long running books.

I'm not that knowledgeable when it comes to Marvel, but has the original "Nick Fury Sr." been of any long running book (solo or team) in the last 30 years or so?

The man is entitled to stand up for himself. I respect him for it doing so. But every time he opens his mouth just makes him sound like a scorned lover.

He has said his piece. He needs to just let it go now and move on. The longer he keeps this up the less likely it is of anybody in Hollywood wanting to hire/work with him.
