The Empire had a brief return and I was surprised to see that T’Challa is still emperor. Last time I remember it being seen or mentioned it sounded like that they were getting rid of that too

I'll say if the upcoming covers do turn out that Shuri will stage a takeover backed by the Dora's hopefully will assuage some issues with Shuri.

At least framing her as a decent techie but she's easily manipulated and ultimately becomes a patsy for the machinations of the Dora's would actually serve to make her a flawed character and thus interesting.

It would make a contrast to BP trying to make sense of the Vodu-Khan's bullshit while Shuri winds up being a sucker.

Some people won't be happy till Shuri is drooling in a wheelchair.

Either give her character her own thing or don’t bother with her. Despite how terrible his run was the one thing I can say Coates got right was turning her into a mage/druid, it gave her something that was entirely her own before the rest of Marvel decided to be lazy and copy the MCU. If we’re going to be taking from T’Challa and give to her or any other supporting character then something has to be given in return. Asking that T’Challa retains one of his key attributes since his debut shouldn’t be a hard ask
