Oh I know... But if you did just know you would have my full confidence that you would bring the hardest, most badass Panther to be seen in the last decade or so

Then they don't need to be there.

Not paying to read about them.

Had enough of others having to save T'Challa.

At $5 an issue and the last 8 years of nonsense-not paying for waiting and seeing nor to see T'Challa chumped for Storm.

Man I tried. I don’t play fighting games but I was determined to master him and you had all these other characters with projectiles sniping him. If he at least had the energy daggers that would have opened up his moveset a lot. T’challa done right in a fighting game would be a dream come true.

His moveset in War for Wakanda was pretty good, something that could easily be put in MvC game

I really really hope Hill delivers. I want to see a successful BP run that draws fans old, new, hardcore and casuals into it and brings us a fully realized T'Challa and a series on par with Priest and Hudlins runs

I know for Damm sure many of the die hards have suffered from serious burnout. I've hated the overall handling of comics/other media source T'Challa. I'm still willing to be patient with UBP pacing solely on the grace of the Blade books. Hill has shown himself to be respectful of the characters given.

Yeah, the last three 616 solos have been a total crapfest for BP. It's a shame that all of the work the Priest has done to reverse and re-imagine BP and that Hudlin and Liss continued has been trashed. Glad to see that Redjack has been trying to restore BP to his rightful place and hopefully Hill will follow.

I had a list of Marvel comics/characters I REALLY wanted to write

    PROWLER (HOBIE BROWN)
    BLACK PANTHER (T'CHALLA)
    JERICHO DRUMM
    NIGHT THRASHER
    BLUE MARVEL
    LILA CHENEY

Odds are high I'm never getting to write these.

Corporate/editorial vision on these characters is nowhere near the stories I want to tell with them and what they ARE doing is nothing I'm interested in writing. This is why I basically put all this behind me and have said, if this last round of pitches don't land, I'm not wasting any more time on the big two.

For Marvel I'm down to two more pitches. If those don't land, I'm done for good. I'll be releasing my own indie comics and only those.

Corporate comics are a minefield and the money's just nowhere near good enough to walk through it unless I LOVE what I'm doing. Definitely not in it for the $$$$$.

So, if it's not fun, your boy is done.

But would you don't if Marvel approached you to write BP like they apparently have for for Coates Eve and Ridley?

Yeah, I wouldn't keep banging on that door either. The end of Ewing's run left things open for change. I guess we'll see what direction they take BP after the Blood Hunt mini.

See, this is the most annoying part! When I sit here and look at all the shots they did call on books that ended up being just horrible takes, and yet they don't want to let a writer that desires to write and elevate character that fills a sorely lacking niche like a Blue Marvel does. NOBODY...has the guts to pull that trigger?? The aversion to certain writers doing certain characters to just out right odd.
