i really hope they bring back Demayo, or at the very least the writers that are still there, take advice from him, especially regarding Storm, i dont know how long his pen lasted in the series before he left, but i hope as we progress further into the seasons, it doesn't become a stark difference because he isn't there,

I have to admit, they've done a great job with Storm so far in the relaunch. Every episode with her has been great imo. I still have problems with her voice but I'm slowly getting over it. After everything that happened on Genosha, I hope she doesn't feel any guilt about not being there to help prevent such a huge tragedy.

I am probably/most likely the only Storm fan on the planet who isn't all wet and orgasmic over what they've done with her (and the rest of the X-Men, truth to tell) in XM92.
Not for lack of trying but it's just not that interesting mainly because they're fast-forwarding through everything, which to me comes across as quick inaccurate flashbacks to the stories that I already know in greater depth. It's the same issue I had with the movies. These stories were already told and far better.

The "special effects" are coolz but they're only part of the story. And, unlike other X-fans, I've never been easily floored by feats and spectacle.

Truthfully, I wish they would have kept the powerless story going until the last of the season. I really want to see her go against Cyclops and take his leadership. I thought it should have lasted maybe till the end of the season.

Hey BK, doing good, just enjoying XM'97. It's been fast paced but I'd rather have that than have a long drawn out decompressed story. Makes me excited for the next episode. Like I said, my only issue is her voice on the show but I'm working thru it, lol.

I know that you're doing good. Storm has been great in the comics and on the show. She was good in X-Men Red, and really good in Resurrection of Magneto. Looks like she's going to play a huge part in the finale with Nimrod. I'm looking forward to seeing where she goes from here in the comics.

As for the show, I hope that they don't let what happened on Genosha weigh on her too heavy. There was really nothing that she could do at the time.

Given that they only have 10 episodes, it was inevitable, however, i agree with you, had they swapped a few things here and there i felt like it would add more gravitas to the story, ease the rushed feeling at the very least

What if Storm went with Rouge,Remy, and Magnus to the Gala, and while both Gambit and Magnus would still perish, Storm would now defend Rouge who was so overwhelmed by gambits death, that she didn't see the stray ray that would aim to take her power? that would both make the tragedy harsher but somewhat more accurate since Storm lost her powers defending Rouge in the comics. and also have storm in more epps before she departs,

That would definitely push Rouge over the edge, Her Sister in arms and mutation lay powerless, and her lovers Perished


And had they just put life-death 1&2, in two lone episodes i dont think that rushed storytelling would be felt as much, it's hard to sell a story when one half is about an 18yr going through nostalgia lane with her soon to be boo in an arcade, while the other half is about something akin to your soul being snatched out, and your left to cope and live without it, and the first story got more time, i hope they fix this in season 2

I know he technically did all the work for S2 already but could this be a hint that he's back with the show and just can't officially confirm it? I know lots of people have been saying that they think Disney/Marvel pulled a James Gunn situation where they will quietly rehire him after some time to avoid controversy.

Storm started wearing it like 5 years ago. I dont think anything is too early as this isnt following the same continuity as the books, mixing old material with newer ones. Like we just got her classic suit which is out of place in terms of when it debuted relative to the stories being told.

She wore her classic suit in the original show as well. When Shadow King attacks Professor X's mind and makes Xavier remember the X-Men from when he first knew them. So I don't think this is supposed to be a brand-new costume but more Storm restoring herself back to her original goddess persona, costume and everything, and essentially coming full circle. The same way Jean returned to her Marvel Girl costume in TDPS adaptation.
