Funny how that worked out in the end, though, given current events.
Cyclops never stopped supporting the Champions - he appeared in the War of the Realms tie-in as well during Zub's run, giving them a new team member in the form of Dust. And of course it was that connection that prompted him to bring Kamala into the X-Men - he'd planned to do that after Emma discovered Cerebro was tracking her, and her death in ASM forced his hand.

Outlawed was wrapped up by Danny Lore, so there aren't any dangling leftovers there for Ewing to deal with.

Points, though I was mostly thinking in the sense of some of the characters that were introduced, or even reintroduced during her comic runs.

Hey. Is anyone here reading Avengers Twilight? I heard Tony was in it.

Yeah he's in it, but he doesn't have the kind of presence we would hope for. Basically, he's spoilers:
a disembodied head that the gov't keeps hidden and uses for his scientific genius. He has a son with Janet. His name is James and he's been heavily corrupted by the gov't.
    end of spoilers

Is anyone liking the new Mysterium armor? I don't like the design of it.

Yeah, the main characters in that story are spoilers:
Steve Rogers, Luke Cage, Kamala Khan, Thor, and a brand new Hawkeye. Tony's in it, but he's not had the biggest role up to now. That might change in the last couple of issues though as he just got an android body.

I like it sometimes. It really depends on the artist.

    spoilers:
Red Skull, actually, who disguised himself as Edwin Jarvis's brother, took James under his wing and into his custody after the seeming deaths of Tony and Janet and the overall fall of the Avengers, and proceeded to indoctrinate James, as well as manipulate the United States government and citizenry overall, into embracing fascism.

    Makes you wonder spoilers:
how James was so easily manipulated. Was a a young kid when Red Skull got a hold of him and why no other heroes noticed what was happening to him.

I wonder if he will have to give the Mysterium back after the fight with Orchis is over.

It's likely there will be a new suit when the relaunch comes out.

    spoilers:
Yes, I think he was young. The other heroes, including Janet, didn't know what happened because most of them died. The surviving ones make sense - Steve was functionally immortal until his powers stopped working, Luke couldn't be injured, but also later had his powers fail. Thor's immortal and one of Kamala's powers is healing factor, she can survive anything except magic (which is how she died in ASM #26, undone by the X-Men) and electrical attacks (which killed her in an issue of Champions, she was revived that time by Miles doing a deal with Mephisto).

It's likely the survivors thought he was dead as well.

Yeah, that sounds about right, though it is pretty sad . . . spoilers:
even if it does illustrate on a more personal, tangible level the Avengers' legacy being coopted, corrupted, and perverted by the Red Skull.

Well, after reading the latest issue Tony put up a heck of a fight. I did have an issue with his strategy though.
    spoilers:
Why would he only have the Sentinel Buster armor when he knew that he would be facing so many sentinels. And why didn't he come up with some way to take those sentinels off line. Tony's a genius so he should have come up with some way of doing that. Honestly, it was more of a brawl than Tony using his genius. The mysterium armor was hyped but how much better was it than the green and gray armor he's currently wearing in Avengers.
