It's hard to believe that the stupid adoption retcon still hasn't been retconned.

Good Marvel characters- Bring Them Back!!!
On a Fraction kick after rereading Hawkeye recently. Man, I want the Iron Man run as an omnibus so bad.
For me, it was probably some of the best characterisation of Tony we’ve ever seen (couple up with Bendis on Avengers pre-heroic age)

Funny enough, it was Kieron Gillen who did the adoption retcon. That's mostly been forgotten, and even he didn't bring it up the last time he wrote Iron Man, in AXE: Judgment Day --- Avengers, which focused on Tony's judgment by the reanimated Celestial corpse the Avengers had been using as their base throughout the then-concurrent Jason Aaron run. The most Bendis did with it was answer the question of who Tony's "actual" parents were, and it was Dan Slott who developed Arno Stark after Gillen introduced him into the present-day MU as the ultimate villain of his Iron Man run.
