    Nope, not at all.

I'm assuming it's her stretching/morphing/embiggen(?) thing that she does.

She was originally an Inhuman but recently revealed to be a mutant.

No. She’s definitely retained that as her Inhuman power. An additional mutant power has yet to be revealed.

Overall question I’d put Kamala as TBD to be honest. Could still very much go either way, but I’m optimistic.

I think it's kind of a neutral development. On the one hand, she doesn't have to be associated with the Flophumans anymore. OTOH, being an X-Man means her supporting cast and world get much less attention, which hurts her as a solo character.

Maybe the best of both worlds for her would have been retconned as a mutant but then be separate from the X-Men after her resurrection.

I wonder why they haven't revealed it yet. It shouldn't be some kind of mystery if they're going to claim that she's a mutant.

Unless they try to walk it back.

Isn't she leading the NYX team they're about to launch? Which weird, her leading a team 10 minutes after discovering that she's a mutant. Especially since she didn't go through a lot of the fear and hatred that most mutants usually go through.

Yeah, I should have mentioned Beast. He, Moira, and Nature Girl were completely character assassinated in this era. I guess Beast didn't register at first because he had already been falling into darkness since the Morrison era, so it wasn't quite as jarring. The levels of atrocities he committed under Percy were staggering indeed, but if you remember closely some of the other writers beforehand, they actually didn't exceed previous debasements(like destroying the entire Ghost Box(?) dimension in Ellis's Astonishing, or using the Legacy Virus to exterminate the Skrulls/Vampires(I forget the details) in the Utopia era, for example).

Berto benificied way more from his time in the Avengers than from a couple of cool moments in the Storm show.

I wonder if this means that Beast is off the table for the foreseeable future.

That's basically true, but at least Lord Ewing brought that Beto to the X-side of things. Within the context of the X-verse, he was well handled(especially if you hadn't read his Avengers stuff).
