I don't know who could replace the Kingpin.
The Kingpin wasn't just feared. He was calculating, ruthless, methodical and pretty imposing. He knew how to use his power and he played the long game very well.
Who has that patience and can impose their will like that?
Most of the people mentioned have some kind of flaws that you don't see with him. Currently the closest I would say is Tombstone. The original Vulture comes close.
Queenpin. The former Menace.
I like the OP's idea of Geoffrey Wilder / the Pride extending their power into NYC. It would maybe allow for the Runaways to show up a bunch, which I would love. That being said, the Pride are currently (mostly?) dead.
Personally, I'd really like to see the Kingpin replaced for a long time. There are other "crime lord" villains who, to me, are much more interesting and still have unused potential. My list includes the following:
the Hood
Black Tarantula
Mr. Negative
the Shroud
-Pav, who would kill for the return of the real Black Tarantula...
You were Spider-Man then. You and Peter had agreed on it. But he came back right when you started feeling comfortable.
You know what it means when he comes back.
"You're not the better one, Peter. You're just older."

Right now, I guess it depends.
During his run on Daredevil, Chip Zdarsky had set Butch Pharris as Fisk's replacement.
Currently, Zeb Wells has Tombstone set as the new Kingpin.
I personally would like to see more done with Mr. Negative or a resurgence of the Black Tarantula. Truth be told, Fisk always returns true to form as the Kingpin of Crime thus making whoever replacing him moot at best.
Thanks for supporting Geoffrey Wilder/the Pride. (Are they REALLY dead? Show me the bodies!)
Would love a SINS OF PRIDE crossover that brings back the Runaways and has members of the Pride working with other aliens, magic and tech users etc. to take on MU heroes...
What is Hammerhead up to these days? I always really got a kick out of him.
This Post Contains No Artificial Intelligence. It Contains No Human Intelligence Either.
I have this story idea centered on the idea that the Black Tarantula wants to "rewrite" the Web of Life and Destiny with himself as the central focus of the web -- thereby giving him immense power, karma, etc -- and so he forms a group of spiders (including The Thousand and Ai Apaec) to mystically force himself into the "Webwyrx" Dimension and change his fate.
There are versions of this story in my head that also include Morlun, along with the revelation that the first "Inheritor" is the Kraven Clone.
-Pav, who would love to see this story in print someday...
