Husk is so very...frouny, but considering recent events she has a good reason not to smile.
when was the last time she interacted with Sam on panel? Has she appeared in Avengers at all and met the wife and kid?
Which is odd and one reason that they could probably just forget that he ever had a kid once he leaves the Avengers and all...
I stopped reading WATXM, and I'm kinda tired right now and cant remember what her plans were in the latest Gen X series. Was Paige planning on leaving the X-Men to become a therapist. Because I don't see how being a therapist would help her stand out amongst the other characters if she were to remain with the X-Men. Usually things like mental therapy are handled by the telepaths.
Of course that's assuming that she even appears in a comic going forward.
Husk appears in the teaser for Uncanny X-Men Diassembled. She's in between Armor and Eyeboy, and you can see her peeling away her skin to expose a metal arm. Not sure if she'll have a role in this or not, but I'm hoping that she can be used in some (positive) capacity.
Well, at the end of WATX we see her working as a therapist at the Jean Grey School. Then, the next time we see her, Paige is working towards getting her PhD, and is working somewhere else and seemingly left the X-Men behind. She does help in the fight against Emplate/Monet. It might not help her stand out, but I can't blame her for needing a break. After surviving Austin, and Aaron, she's deserves it. Though she might be appearing in this Uncanny event, so we'll see how long she stays away.
All of the characters in the uncanny teaser wont be used. I think that I saw somewhere that Uncanny would feature some of the lesser used characters. I'd say that Husk is definitely among the lesser used X-characters, even if you count the recent Gen-X. I'm still not getting my hopes up though.
I'm more worried she'll get used as canon fodder tbh. Its another even that "not everyone is going to survive" so I'm kinda concerned. Enough of Generation X has been killed, and I don't need to see anymore go. Husk definitely isn't used as much compared to other characters, but I don't know if any of the writers are big fans of the character. I know Rosenberg is a big fan of Madrox, and he seems to have some kind of role in it, but maybe one of them quite likes Husk. We'll find out soon enough I'm sure.
