At least other writers can try and salvage what he did with Carol. Right now Tony is sidelined, Rhodey is dead, and Pepper has been more or less replaced by Mary Jane. There isn't a single regular Iron Man character in the Iron Man book anymore.

Only the armor.

I hope some writer comes along and finds a away to bring Rhodey back.

Yet he did/does well with Miles and Daredevil.

Baffling.

The difference is both those characters are street-level, which is Bendis' niche .

I remember people being hyped for this run because it was hailed as making Iron Man the new "flagship" hero of the Marvel Universe and how Bendis has always written Tony well...and then it basically turned into a run that took a lot out of the Iron Man mythos and put in more original stuff Bendis just concocted or brought in.

And that first arc was so promising too...

I also really liked Iron Man's armor in the second season of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, with the triangle-shaped arc reactor.

He screwed up Moon Knight in his run of him, if not for Warren Ellis' re-vamp to Mr.Knight I don't think he would have surfaced again.
