Another look at Luke Cage #1, including the variant covers and colored pages. I like the art but doesn't really fit the "crime noir" vibe that Walker said he was going for.

Sounds like we might be getting one of the Bushmasters as villains for Luke Cage season 2

Some upcoming appearances with Luke Cage, via these Following Preview Pages.....
SECRET EMPIRE #2
LUKE CAGE #1
So, anyone else wishing Mike Deodato was the artist for the series? I mean, Nelons Blake II is fine, but Deodato would fit the tone much better and the book could use a big name artist for the launch. I'd hate to see it go the way of Marvel's other new series. And just look at that variant cover!
Cage #2 May 1992
Creative Hate
Cage is hired to bodyguard a rapper
who is attacked by the racist organization, Hammer;
introduction of Hammer, an offshoot of Cameron Hodge's The Right mutant-hunting terrorist organization.
Script by Marcus McLaurin, pencils by Dwayne Turner, inks by Chris Ivy
Anybody check out the new #1? I thought it was dope. The hallway scene was some cool artwork, and I love how Luke has some new villains that he can't take lightly. I'm excited for the next issue.
I bought it earlier and read it just now. It's a good first issue.
Read the new #1 but I was really digging it to the end. Until a google search I knew nothing about 'Warhawk' but including him is some good continuity work.
Current Pull: Amazing Spider-Man and Domino
Bunn for Deadpool's Main Book!
A well done 1st issue. Art was clean. Natural dialogue. I dig a good mystery.
